About Me

I have a background in care work and enjoy working with all kinds of people. I studied Clinical Psychology at Kent University, and then did a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology at London Metropolitan University, finishing in 2004. I am trained to work with cognitive, systemic and psychodynamic theory. This means I am very adaptable to the needs of my clients. I have practiced counselling since 1999, working with a wide variety of people privately and with the Mental Health Team, Ashford Counselling Service and the Heart of Kent Hospice. I have taught psychology and counselling courses for adult education for 12 years. I am accredited as a counsellor by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I qualified with a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Supervision in 2012. Since then I have provided Clinical Supervision for individuals and groups with the NHS, Kent Police, Mind and Porchlight. I supervise counsellors from diverse therapeutic settings such as schools, clinical settings and drug rehabilitation. I enjoy working with students and have taken pleasure in using my experience with private practice to support the development of my supervisees practices. I have senior accreditation with the BACP as a Clinical Supervisor of individuals.
